Tooth #2 had a root canal and crown but is now failing from infection. Unfortunately, it cannot be saved and it must be extracted.

The tooth was carefully extracted and measured for bone grafting and future implant placement.

A bone graft was placed into the socket. It appears as slightly white in the xray where the roots of the tooth once were.

Any stitches are removed and an xray is taken to analyze the area. The bone graft continues to heal.

A new xray is taken and the bone graft is nearly 100% healed. It appears much whiter in the xray.

An implant is now placed in the healed and hardened bone.

A new xray of the area and the implant continues to heal.

A mold is taken of the area and the new crown is placed permanently on the implant! Our patient has a new tooth!
